Music from Oktopus tonight, Annual General meeting later this month and an ABBA related announcement for the Fall among highlights for busy Lester Centre February

The Lester Centre of the Arts Stage will come alive tonight with a much anticipated visit to Prince Rupert by the Quebec based group Oktopus, an eight member ensemble that has been touring Northern BC for much of this month, with stops previously this week in Terrace and Kitimat.

They bring their high energy presentation of World Music to the Lester Centre with a showtime of 7:30

Later this month brings the Annual General Meeting for the Lester Centre of the Arts, set for February 21st at 7PM in the lobby area of the Performing Arts Facility.


At the meeting, members will be asked to accept the minutes of the 2023 annual general meeting, accept the Directors' report, accept the auditor’s report, and accept the annual financial statements for the 2023 financial year. 

The are also 3 open Director positions available, which will be voted on by the membership. 

 There are no special resolutions that are proposed to bediscussed at the Annual General Meeting.

Tied into the upcoming AGM, the Lester Centre continues to seek out new members and this month are offering up a chance to enter in a draw for a prize from the First Avenue Bistro in the Highliner Inn.

February also has delivered a Heads Up for a coming attraction for the Legion of Abba fans in the northwest, with ABBA Revisted announced for a November 10 show at the Lester Centre
