YPR reports 'minor incident' for Charter flight to Prince Rupert today

See correction below specific to the flight in question, which was a morning arrival and not an afternoon flight as we had surmised in the original story.

Airport officials at the Digby Island Airport have issued a short advisory through their social media stream noting of what they have called a 'minor incident' for a private charter flight arriving in the city today.

Thankfully, No injuries were reported from the incident, though no further details on what led to the airplane resting just beyond the runway edge were released

Also not indicated from the information release was whether the situation was related to mechanical, or other land based issues.

Other than the Regularly Scheduled Air Canada flight for Wednesday afternoon, the only other flight noted by the Flght Aware tracking service is that of Summit Air Flight 8602 which is reported to have arrived at 3:57 PM this afternoon.

That flight had originally been scheduled for a 1:33 PM departure but had been delayed to 2:41 PM.

Today's notes from YPR did not specify the nature of the purpose for the charter flight to the city.

Should YPR update their information related to the incident we shall add to our story.

Correction to the above: Related To the Flight specific to the incident.

The Flight that was noted in the social media posting by YPR officials was an early morning charter arrival at the Digby Island Airport, it departed Nanaimo at 6:30 AM arriving at Prince Rupert at 7:49 AM
