Snowfall Warning Issued for North Coast Inland areas including Terrace and Kitimat

Weekend travel may be slowed for those on the roads heading both east and west of Terrace, with Environment Canada issuing a SNOWFALL WARNING for the region this afternoon.

The still cold air aloft of the Skeena Valley set to mix with an approaching Pacific front that will bring 30 mm rain and wind to the Prince Rupert area this evening and tomorrow morning.

Up to 15 cm of snow is expected through the region from this afternoon into Saturday morning.

The advisory also extends into the Stewart region and the Nass Valley.

The Snow has already started to fall for the Terrace region, though so far the accumulation is not very large  for those travelling the Highways of the region.

Visibility and road conditions are changing however along the Highway 16 corridor between Prince Rupert and Terrace.
