Rampage season ends as Wolverines advance in CIHL Playoffs

The Jim will not hear the roar of the crowd for the 
Rampage for the remainder of the 2023-44 playoffs.

The 2023-24 Central Interior Hockey Season is over for the Prince Rupert Rampage, the Rhinos dropped Game Two of the Best of Three series with Hazelton by a score of 7-1 on Saturday night. 

The contest at the Upper Skeena Rec Centre secured for Hazelton the 2-0 series win, the Saturday night closer coming following their victory of the 10th in Prince Rupert.

The high octane offence of the Wolverines went into high gear for the start of the playoffs, with Hazelton outscoring Prince Rupert by a margin. of 12-3 over the course of the two games.

The Rampage saluted their fans following their exit from the playoffs over the weekend, posting a short message to their Social Media stream.

The Hazelton Win sets up a showdown with the CIHL regular season champions the Terrace River Kings

Puck drop to the ice breaker for their Divisional Best of Three final set for Saturday at the Upper Skeena Recreation Centre in Hazelton.


The winner of the Western Divisional will move on the to CIHL Finals to take on the winner of the Quesnel/Williams Lake series also set to start on Saturday night in Quesnel.

With the season at end, the Rampage faithful have been paying tribute to their team through the comments of the weekend update from Hazelton.
