They've been fine tuning their efforts over the last few months, putting together their plans and spreading the word of the new initiative to help spread the word about the importance of small business to the local economy.
We first introduced you to the Small Town Love project back in July, when organizers were just getting things underway and working out the details for introducing the program to Prince Rupert.
This Saturday all that preparation work will pay off as the Love Prince Rupert campaign officially gets its launch at the North Coast Meeting and Convention Centre, located below Chances on First Avenue West.
The launch event takes place Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM and is a FREE, family event designed to help celebrate independent local businesses on the North Coast.
In addition to checking out some of the business options now available in the community, you can sample some local food, enter to win prizes and take in some of the atmosphere of the five hour celebration.
Some background on what the program is all about can be found here. Those that might be interested in adding their business to the program can put in their application here.
You can find out more about the program and how you can become involved with it from a range of social media options, including a website, Facebook page, twitter feed and Pinterest page.
A look at the launch of the program in other communities can be found through the program's flickr page.
The Program which is run through Northern Development has put together an introduction video as to what Small Town Love is all about which you can view below.
