Adverse weather off of Haida Gwaii has resulted in BC Ferries issuing a Severe Weather Notice for travellers, advising that the the 5 PM arrival of the Northern Expedition at Prince Rupert has been delayed.
Hecate Strait is currently under a Storm Warning with winds expected from the Southeast at 50 knots this evening, the winds are expected to diminish for a short period early Wednesday morning, before strengthening again to near 60 knots by Wednesday afternoon.
No revised arrival time for the Northern Expedition has been provided to this point.
