Blog watching, week ending December 6, 2015


LNG returned to the hot list for the week with two Open Houses related to the Aurora LNG proposal capturing a fair bit of attention from blog readers.

Transportation notes also dominated the most read items of the week, with a pair of items related to the Alaska Marine Highway System and more fallout from the suspension of service by Hawkair to Prince Rupert making for a fair amount of the news coverage this week.

While more background on the recent decision to close the canning lines at the Canadian Fish Plant in Prince Rupert also made for a popular topic for the week.

However, the lead off item which found the largest audience of the last seven days, was focused on a pair of Open Houses hosted by Nexen Energy with updates for the community on their proposed LNG Terminal development at Digby Island.

Suspension of Hawkair Service means new Airport Ferry Schedule -- With Terrace based Hawkair suspending its Prince Rupert service, the City has had to revise the schedule for the Airport Ferry (posted December 2, 2015)

For the Alaska Ferry, Everything Old ... is New Again!  -- Part of the City's  Hays 2.0 vision planning of last week involved a look at the Alaska Marine Highway Service to  Prince Rupert, adding one more contribution to what is a long running Prince Rupert story (posted November 30, 2015 )
