More work underway for Second Avenue Bridge

The City of Prince Rupert is tackling more of it's infrastructure To-Do list this year and one of the first of the city projects will be the second phase of repairs for the Second Avenue Bridge on the west side of the city.

This phase will see work taking place underneath the structure, reinforcing the bridge below the roadway that spans the gorge below.

The first phase of the bridge remediation project began last summer and like that work, this years construction is expected to last at least eight weeks.

Work began on the structure earlier this week, as the work continues, traffic will be limited to alternating one way transit across the bridge top.

You can review more of the city's infrastructure work past and present from our archive page here.
