A Prince Rupert 4th of July for the Regatta

The Regatta sails off to new adventures after
spending the 4th of July in Prince Rupert

With 684 passengers aboard and making a port call in Prince Rupert, there was a definite splash of Red, White and Blue around town on Wednesday, as the Oceania line's Regatta made a mid week stopover at the Northland Cruise Terminal.

The vessel which arrived at 10:30 had a seven hour layover at Northland, giving the passengers a chance to celebrate the Fourth of July with a walk around the city or by taking part in a number of  shore excursions.

Many seemed to prefer the independent style of touring, with a number of visitors exploring the downtown area under sunny skies and during one of the warmest days on record for the community.

Next up on the Prince Rupert Cruise schedule is today's arrival
of the Crystal Symphony, the largest vessel to call on the city this year
