Rushbrook Trail and east waterfront shoreline, this years focus for Great Canadian Shoreline clean up

The newly rebuilt Rushbrook Trail will get a shoreline clean up this week
as part of the annual Great Canadian Shoreline Clean up Project

Looking to make sure the the reopening of the Rushbrook Trail gets off to its best possible start, the annual day for shoreline attention will put the focus on the stretch of shore from Rushbrook to Seal Cove among other areas of the east side.

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is set for this Sunday, July 22nd, with Karina Dracott of North Coast Cetacean Research Initiative serving as the coordinator for this years work party, which is joining forces with Positive Prince Rupert - Civic Pride.

The Clean up takes place from Noon until 2PM, with volunteers taking to the shoreline areas near Rushbrook Floats to remove litter from the waterfront, with plans to work the Rushbrook Trail which had its Grand Re-opening last week-end as well as the Hays Creek area for this years project.

The east side of Prince Rupert's Waterfront and Hays Creek will be the
location for this years Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up
