North Coast Regional District seeks contractor for role of FireSmart Coordinator

North Coast Regional District is making plans to deliver on their FireSmart Initiatives and towards the program the NCRD is seeking the services of temporary contractor to serve in the post of FireSmart Coordinator.

Four key elements are the focus for their candidate search, with the specific duties for the post to include:

Delivering community education and awareness activities on FireSmart principles

Completing FireSmart Home Ignition Zone Assessment Score Cards for residential properties

Coordinating the delivery of labour for eligible mitigation activities identified through FireSmart property assessments

Completing secondary FireSmart Home Ignition Zone Assessment Score Cards for properties that have completed mitigation work.

Towards what they are looking for in a successful applicant Regional District is looking for someone with excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills, as well as sound knowledge of fire and public safety education, emergency management, fire prevention and emergency preparedness, along with a passion for public safety. 

The Position is listed as Part Time Temporary contract, the wage is set at 25 dollars an hour for a 30 hour work week.
