Registration for Prince Rupert Minor Softball season underway


The Big Leagues are back on the field as of today, with the first of the Major League Baseball Opening Days having started last night and continuing through today, with the Toronto Blue Jays home opener against the Texas Rangers set for today at 4 PM British Columbia time.

A few years down on the future player roster listings, local Softball players in Prince Rupert and Port Edward will be taking to the field later this month, with Registration for Prince Rupert Minor Softball now underway.  

The opportunity to sign up for the season ahead already one week in, set to continue until April 20th.

PRMSA organizers note of some changes for the 2022 season, advising that the groupings have changed from U6-U18 to odd numbers U7-U17 this year, the Association now looking for kids born in 2005- through 2016 to register. 

As well the group is also accepting coaching applications, those with an interest in helping out on the coaching duties can register in the staff registration.


To help parents get a little time planning in, the PRMSA has also posted a tentative schedule of play for the season ahead. 

All play is on week days with field allocations from 5 PM to 9 PM
