City Council's call for comments towards the Port City Spirits plans have delivered a volume of letters in support for Council to review tonight |
As City Council members prepare for an eventual decision on whether they will provide for a licence amendment referral for Port City Spirits, the proponents for the proposed Fraser Street establishment have been finding some enthusiastic support among some community members for their initiative.
The list of what is somewhat of a who's who from the community, offering their support of the plans is available for review as part of tonight's City Council Consent Agenda.
The compilation taking up forty five pages of the Council Agenda on the night.

The volume of supporters surely a collection that will give the proponents cause for hopes of Big Box Office opening day if they ever get their plans over the finish line.
The comments in support come following a restart of the clock on May 15th following Council's review. at the May 8th Council session, where City Councillors had deferred their decision to sometime in June.
That came following some push back to the plans from a few community residents who had attended the early May Council session.
The Agenda for tonight does not indicate what volume, if any, of correspondences that the City has received that may be in opposition to the plans on Fraser Street.
Other than the comments assembled for review as part of the Consent Agenda tonight, the topic of the shift to lounge status for the Fraser Street building is not up for further attention on tonight's Agenda.
Council may however, offer up some clues towards their plan of approach with the introduction of the letters of support.
