The Northern BC Tourism Association has announced a range of investment funding through from PacificCan as part of the Tourism Relief Fund, with the money directed towards accessibility themes for tourism providers.
Through PacifiCan’s investment, the program provided a total of $62,500 in non-repayable financial contributions to tourism operators to support enhanced access to their businesses.
A total of fourteen (14) projects were selected, with tourism operators matching the program’s contribution, for a total of $125,000 in accessibility enhancements.
Among the list of recipients announced on Thursday were three from Prince Rupert.
The Museum of Northern British Columbia, Olde Time Trolley Company and Bob's on the Rock's at the Rushbrook Floats area, some snapshots of how the money is to be used can be reviewed below:
