A look at the year that was and what's coming up for the near future for the City of Prince Rupert has been made public, with the release of the City's Annual Report for 2022
The Fifty eight page report provides for comments from Mayor Herb Pond and City Manager Rob Buchan; along with contact information for the city's elected council members.

Mayor Pond noting of 2022 as a year for significant advances towards infrastructure, while Mr, Buchan shares in the themes of infrastructure as well as the city's ongoing work on housing themes.
The work of the City's various departments also gain a short synopsis along with a look at Council's Strategic Plan, Vision planning and goals, as well as their Priorities for 2022-23.

The City also makes note of the Awards and Recognition that it has received from some of their recent initiatives, included in that is some notes on the travel to Ontario for a group of past and current civic officials for their wok on the Waston Island program.
Those features make for the first twenty six pages, the remainder of the document is turned over to the City's Finance Office, with a range of information from Audited Financial Statements to Tax Exemption information to name a few elements.
Included in the documentation are the Financial Position of CityWest and notes related to Prince Rupert Legacy Inc.
The publication of the Report also comes with a short video that highlights some of the element of document.
Residents of the city have a couple of weeks to do their own deep dive into the data and if they find something they may wish to ask questions towards.
As for that element of public engagement, City Council has set the June 26th Council session for the public presentation of the Report and Public comment opportunity.
