SD52 celebrates years of Service, Retirements for 2022-23

 


As the final few days of the 2022-23 School year wind down, School District 52 has once again highlighted the benchmarks of those in the employ of the Prince Rupert School District. 

With a list of 67 of those marking five years, fifteen, 25 and 25 years plus service.

As well as those who are about to leave the classroom for the final time.

In total 17 educators and staff members celebrated 5 years service, 2 received accolades for 15 years of service as did 2 for 25 years service.

The largest volume of recognition went to the 35 educators and staff members celebrating 25 years plus service with the Prince Rupert School District.

Among those making their farewells to full time employment with SD52 are 11 on staff who are retiring with the end of the school year they include:

Carmel Pepin      -- 39 years of service
Paul Paling          -- 35 years of service 
Margaret Cavin   -- 35 years of service
Tamara Thomson --  35 years of service
Teresa Weismiller -- 35 years or service
Wes Baker             --  34 years of service
Gabriel Bureau     -- 34 years of service
Shauna Moore       --  32 years of service
Alison Bureau       --  30 years of service
Irene Davis            -- 24 years of service
Darlene Wilson      -- 21 years of service

A number of other educators and counsellors at District Schools are moving on as well, with transfers out of the District set to take place over the summer.
