Port Edward highlights plans for new Fire Truck as part of latest community update

The fourteen volunteer members of the Port Edward Fire/Rescue Service and their Chief Jason Giesbrecht could have some new wheels to put to use by the end of the year, with the District Council noting of their plans for apparatus replacement in the District.

The update for residents coming by way of the District Newsletter for June.

As their update notes, the apparatus acquisition program was assisted by  75,000 dollar financial commitment by Trigon Terminals

The new truck when it arrives will replace the thirty year old work horse that has seen much work in the District over its three decades of service.

The full newsletter can be reviewed here.
