The Big and the Small of Cow Bay Area Waterfront visitors on Tuesday


The Cow Bay Dock featured a special guest today, with the Arctic Research Foundation Vessel Tiriarnaq at the outer dock.  The Ships crew opening the doors to host visitors  from 10AM to 1PM. 

With those  dropping by, getting an opportunity to hear about the research mission of the former Canadian Coast Guard vessel Kitimat II.

Over on the Promenade between the Atlin Terminal and the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal, visitors to town from the Ruby Princess were wandering to and fro, some exploring the Lax Süülda Container Market others, hopping aboard the Trolley for tours of the city.

With a bit of wind gusting from time to time, the Cow Bay Dock was not the place for the wearing of ball caps.  

While those walking along Cow Bay Road towards town probably decided that eating indoors was wise; along with keeping a weather eye open for the occasional wind fuelled sandstorm crossing the area, that  from the current work on First Avenue East.


The Ruby Princess and her 3,080 potential guests is set to cast off from the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal at 4 PM.

The next Port call for Prince Rupert comes on Sunday when the Windstar, Star Breeze arrives for the day.
