The Price is right and the wait was light at the Industrial Park Petro Canada |
The signs of a potential price jump came with the arrival of the fuel truck in the afternoon hours of Tuesday and as evening arrived in Prince Rupert, price conscious motorists were making the rounds looking for best value for their fill up dollars.
The Tuesday Price benchmark found two stations holding firm at the 130.9 mark of earlier in the day, with 7-11 Esso and the Industrial Park Petro Canada your best bets for a low price on the day.
At the other end of the payment spectrum for the day, both Chevron and Hays Cove Petro Canada had posted prices of 149.9 heading into Tuesday evening.
The fluctuation in Prince Rupert is out of pace with the Terrace area, where prices for the most part are listed at 1.31 to 1.39 according to the Gas Buddy tracking service.
Further to the east, Smithers has a price point of 1.42.9, Burns Lake is holding at 1.28.9 per litre.
Prince George is holding mostly to the 1.28.9 mark, though there are slight shifts in different parts of that city.
