Travel eastbound could be tricky Thursday

The weather map from Environment Canada provides for a swath of red from the Terrace region, right across Northern BC to the Alberta border for Thursday.

An indication that Thursday may be a troublesome day for those with a destination east of Prince Rupert.

A frontal system that will arrive on the North coast overnight is anticipated to bring heavy now through the overnight and morning periods from Terrace through to Prince George and further east.

Snow accumulations are expected to be around 25 cm by Thursday afternoon in the affected regions.

The North Coast will face rain and wind overnight and into Thursday morning, with around 25 mm of rain to fall by Thursday evening.

You can find out updates from the Environment Canada website or on twitter from the #bcstorm feed.

Road conditions can be found at the Drive BC website.
