A Friday opening for Prince Rupert's 41st Annual Seafest




The first of the three days of Seafest starts with a tribute to the city's Seniors and Elders, as the City of Prince Rupert welcomes the latest additions to the 7/50 club with the Senior's Tea from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Highliner Plaza Hotel.

The first day of competition in the Jim Ciccone 3 on 3 Basketball tournament showcases the city's basketball talents from the Civic Centre parking lot from 4 to 8 PM, the teams move it indoors if the elements don't cooperate.

Dr. Von Houligan's Carnival of Calamities open their three day show for Prince Rupert at the corner of McBride and Third Avenue West with show time from 6 to 7:30 PM

The first night of Seafest finds the Bandstand at Mariner's Park the destination, with a range of entertainment from music to poetry to amateur comedians all lined up for the opening night of the annual Prince Rupert Seafest events, showtime is 7:30 PM

Also featured on Day one of Seafest is an opportunity to explore the Museum of Northern British Columbia free of charge, with the Museum open to the public from 10 AM to 4 PM, Children and youth must be accompanied by an adult.
