A very Prince Rupert Snowfall ... morning snow accumulates and awaits the rain

The unwelcome return of winter to the Prince Rupert area would seem to be a geographically limited one, with the snowfall of the last two hours concentrated very much for areas west of the Port Edward turnoff.

For those travelling the highway east bound,  as recently as 9:45 this morning the roads for the most part seem in good shape and there's little sign of the accumulation currently found on the city's streets.

For those wondering whether to dig in and start shovelling, or to wait to see what Mother Nature has planned next ...

The forecast suggests that as the day warms up the rain will arrive ... maybe!

You can check on the road conditions to points east through the Drive BC website
