There will be no more Virtual to our reality, Seafest 2022 is going forward with the return to the streets of the downtown core and the waterfront destined to bring back the crowds that have been absent over the last two years.
The 44th edition of Seafest promises to be just a little bit more special this year after the two years of hibernation for the most part, with the Society doing much through the virtual events of the last two years to keep the flame of the celebration alive during the hiatus from the in person events.
The 2022 celebration takes place June 10-12 and organizers are looking forward to lining up a full weekend of events to bring Rupertites, those from the region and visitors to the community together.
The return marks what will be the first of two summer celebrations, with the Special Events Society also looking forward to a return to Mariner's Park for the annual Canada Day Party, on July 1st, the 155th edition for the nation.
To become involved with both Seafest and Canada Day, follow the Special Events Society through their Facebook page, opportunities to volunteer or sponsor events can be found through the Special Events website.
