As well the report offers up a general overview of the impact of revenues from gambling facilities in communities across the province.
For Prince Rupert, the last year has brought an increase in those revenues for City coffers, with the BCLC noting that in 2022/23 the City's share of revenues was 608,000 dollars up from 438,000 the year before.The 2021/22 results were of course impacted by COVID and measure in place that reduced the revenue streams.

In addition to the report which you can review in full from the Agenda to tonights Council session (Pages 12-23), the BCLC provided a wider synopsis specific to Prince Rupert.
Detailing some of the funding that the lottery revenues have brought to the community.
Included in those notes was the level of municipal taxation returned to the community from the Chances facility on First Avenue west, with $134,293 returned to the City of Prince Rupert in property taxation.
For those who play the lottery in Prince Rupert, BCLC notes that there were 73 winning lottery tickets purchased in the city in 2022, making for a total payout of $328,646 to lottery players.
Some of the local communities that have benefited from those revenues was outlined in a report from the Province in December of 2022.

The results for Chances Prince Rupert were detailed in the report with the First Avenue Gaming centre's 117 slot machines generating revenue of 11,039,000, while Bingo brought in $192,000
That volume of return, has given the Skeena Valley city cause to consider allowing an expansion for the Terrace facility, that with an eye towards a revenue boost.
