Fall Futsal a smash success as PRYSA nearly doubles registration from last year


A registration blitz of late September and early October will see over seventy players set to take part in the Fall Futsal season, the second year program gaining in popularity this fall with almost double the number of youngsters ready to hit the floor from the number that played last year.

Included in that are seventeen newcomers to the PRYSA who did not participate in any Association programs last year.

This years season takes place thanks to the spirit shown by 17 volunteers to will help to steer the season through the Fall.

Girls Futsal is taking place at LaxKxeen Elementary, the season ends on December 8th

The Boys games go at Conrad Elementary, their season concludes on December 8th

The PRYSA has also announced that it has received a Quality Soccer Designation from Canada Soccer, Association president Charles Cook noting that the PRYSA was one of 17 associations in BC and one of 43 from across Canada to obtain the designation.

“We are very pleased to announce another group of Clubs who have met the Standards for Quality Soccer as well as those who have achieved a higher recognition category. These organizations are making a commitment to providing safe, fun, accessible inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programming, which are the principles that underpin the Canada Soccer National Youth Club Licensing Program,” -- Canada Soccer’s Director of Development, Dave Nutt. 

While the Futsal season gets into full swing this month, the PRYSA is reminding its members for both indoor and ourtoor games of their upcoming AGM which will take place on November  26th, should you be interested in taking on a Board position, the PRYSA will be posting additional information on their wesbsite as the AGM approaches.
