And has often been the case when the two familiar sides get together, the two teams did not disappoint those in the stands when it came to fast paced hockey, with more than a dash of physical contact and heated battle.

Period Two was all Rampage who added two more to their total, with Judd Repole scoring in the fist two minutes of the middle period with Tyler Halliday once agin with the helper.
Halliday made it a there point night few minutes later, following up at 6:08 of the period with his own goal, that assisted by Tyler Ostrom.
The remainder of the period a back and forth affair that delivered no further scoring, leaving the Rhinos in the lead 3-1 after forty minutes.
The River Kings dominated the final frame, shutting down the Rampage offence, taking advantage of a power play opportunity at 13:27 to pull within one goal of their hosts.
The visitors thought they had snared an equalizer at the buzzer however, the officials waived off the goal, leaving the Rampage to celebrate their third consecutive win of the season wot the 3-2 final.

While the goal scoring was low, the penalty totals increased by the period.
With the infractions spread out fairly evenly over the three periods, by the final buzzer officials had assessed the visiting River Kings with 32 minutes of penalty time on 12 infractions. The Rampage side sat out 34 minutes of the game on thirteen penalty calls.
Like the team itself, the Rampage goaltender Kieran Sharpe kept his undefeated streak alive, turning aside 28 shots on the thirty directed his way.
Rampage officials did not provide a final crowd count number on the night, the rink one bolstered by those participating in a PRMHA tournament over the weekend.

The win keeps the Rampage atop the CIHL West standings, tied for the overall CIHL lead with Nechako, the latter having played one more game.
That sets the stage for a CHIL Showdown this coming Saturday when the North Stars make the Highway 16 drive to the coast for a contest with the Rampage at the Jim.
