The City of Prince Rupert has announced another step forward in its water infrastructure program, submitting the Underwater Watermain work in Fern Passage to the Navigable Waters Registry.
The City's advisory which was posted to the city website on Tuesday afternoon notes of the area of the work in question related to the shoreline of the Industrial Park.
These works are to take place near the existing northern statutory right of way over the waters identified under Plan PRP14704, from Lot A PRP9603 to District Lot 444.
Project Location is approximately 350 m east of Shawatlans Road, and approximately 250 m north of Duncan Road.
The watermain will serve as the conduit for water from the Reservoir at Shawatlans Lake to the city landing at the Industrial park then leading to the civic reservoir.
As the City notes above, comments will be considered only if they are in writing (electronic means preferable) and are received not later than 30 days after the publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.

So far the city's notice to that registry has yet to be included in the Federal data base, once it is, you will be able to find it from the Registry using the two options for registry provided above by the city.
