City looks to hire Causal dispatcher for Prince Rupert Fire Rescue

An opportunity to join the ranks of the dispatch team at the Prince Rupert Fire Hall is the latest career posing from the City of Prince Rupert, with the City currently seeking the services of a causal - on call employee.

The job posting comes with an extensive list of requirements for the successful applicant to bring the position.

The wage is set at $38.09 per hour, with dispatchers represented by CUPE Local 105.

The Deadline to indicate your interest I the post is October 25th.

The workload for the city's Dispatch team could be expanded if one City Councillor has his way. 

In August Councillor Barry Cunningham raised the prospect of adding EMS dispatch work to the local Fire Hall Operations Centre.

The topic however has not returned to Council for further discussion since August.
