Having weathered the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic through some reduced access and special measures, the Prince Rupert based communication company CityWest is set to move on to a re-opening plan for many of their storefront locations across the Northwest.
In an information release from Wednesday, CityWest announced that their storefronts in Prince Rupert, Terrace and Smithers will reopen to the public on Monday, July 13th, with the Kitimat location to remain closed for the time being.
“At the time, we thought it was best to close our storefronts to keep our employees and our customers safe. But now that the Province of B.C. has loosened some of the pandemic restrictions, we’re happy to once again open our doors to customers.” -- Tina Lussier, Interim CEO of CityWest.
The communication company had closed their offices back on March 18th, that in response to the COVID situation, with a skeleton crew of staff members working in each office; customers had access to information and assistance through the call centre and other measures.
When the storefronts re-open on Monday morning, customers will notice some changes.
Towards protective measures for staff and customers you will fnind social-distancing decals on the floors, similar to what is seen in grocery stores. There will also be glass barriers at the front counter, as well as hygiene stations at the front door.
You can find out more about the reopening plans and other notes from CityWest by way of their website and Facebook page.
