We're catching up on some recent activity for the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue department with the fire hall offering up a reminder to ensure that you have working smoke and CO alarms not only for the home but your recreational vehicles as well.

That following a call in response to a fire inside a fifth wheel camp trailer, parked at a local site.

The call for service came in early morning hours of February 5th, with fire crews responding to a working fire, quickly dousing the blaze.

Fortunately no one was inside the trailer at the time of the incident and no one was injured as part of the response.

The work is outlined on the PRFD Facebook page.
