The Terrace home base for TV7 news is currently in the process of seeking a new journalist to fill an opening, posting the Help Wanted Ad to the Bell Media website, the Northwest job opening coming in the midst of a massive reduction in staff for the National media player across Canada.
The Northwest opening is available with the apparent departure of Divya Gill, who started her Northwest broadcast journey in Prince Rupert before shifting to Terrace last year.
The job posting which was put on the Bell board on February 5th, provides some background to the skill set required and the duties ahead for the successful applicant.
The deadline for applications for those looking to relocate to the Northwest news beats is this Friday.
The TV 7 line up currently features one reporter, Joshua Azizi who joined CFTK in December of 2020 and who is presently listed as working out of the Prince Rupert office in the Atlin Terminal. Though much of his work of the last few weeks has focused on the Terrace/Kitimat region.
