Information update set for next week for Skeena River Salmon Enhancement Project

Those interested in following the progress towards a one million dollar investment towards Salmon enhancement by the Prince Rupert Port Authority, will want to make note of an online forum set for next Wednesday, when an update on the Skeena River Salmon Enhancement program will take place from Noon to 1PM.

The program which was introduced by the Port in January of 2019, is designed to support innovative pilot projects that will achieve objectives and support the health, resilience and sustainability of Skeena River salmon.

The February 17th info session will provide some background into the criteria required for applicants to the program, a look at some past project examples, as well as some helpful tips towards preparing an application for this years application process.

To be eligible for the program, applicants/project proponents must be located in the Prince Rupert area or in the Skeena River Watershed.
