Tie down your outdoor valuables and make sure your rain gear is handy with a windy and very wet weekend about to greet Prince Rupert residents as they head into the next few days.

Environment Canada issued the RAINFALL WARNING  just before 4 PM today, making note of what will be a stalled weather front and calling for upwards of 120-150 mm of rain from Saturday night to Sunday evening.

The pacific stream of moisture will then continue for much of the week ahead with Rain in the forecast through to Thursday, with a potential for some flurries for Tuesday.

Those who may have catch basins located in front of their homes may want to make sure that the area surrounding them is clear of debris to avoid any unwanted back of water on city streets and onto your property.
