City of Prince Rupert/Ecotrust Canada team up on Home Energy survey

A project that could make for home energy upgrades for Prince Rupert residents is currently seeking some feedback from the public.

With the City Of Prince Rupert and Ecotrust Canada making use of the Rupert Talks portal to host a community survey.

Last week, the City provided a bit of a nudge to the public towards participation in the survey initiative.

We are looking into which kinds of upgrades would make the most positive impact in different types of homes in Prince Rupert, how much money households could save, what challenges people encounter when trying to make home energy upgrades, and what some possible solutions to these challenges are.

Towards the project, the survey features eighteen questions about the current energy options for your home and how any renovations you may consider may bring a change in direction for you.

Ecotrust Canada has more on heat pumps available on their website.

  1. I would rather see the city partner up with MADD and the Rick Hansen foundation because impaired driving and accessibility is far more of a priority in our community than reminding residents to purchase energy star appliances and heat pumps.
