Both the Prince Rupert and Port Edward Fire departments have been taking advantage of some recent training opportunities with the two departments putting the focus on Industrial fire fighting for the last few days.

Both departments took part in a firefighting course over the weekend to learn more about how to approach Liquid Propane Gas fires. The Port Edward service noting as to how the program provided instruction on strategic decision making.

Last week, the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue service sent a number of the departments fire fighters to Kitimat to take some Rapid Intervention Crew Training hosted by the Kitimat Fire and Ambulance service.

You can keep up with the two departments and their training work through their Social Media feeds.
