City Council gets a preview tonight on themes to be explored with the public on Thursday and Friday towards a rejuvenation for Mariner's Park |
City Councillors will get a bit of a heads up on some planning for the city's most used public park, with a Report for tonight's City Council Session focused on planning for a makeover for Mariner's Memorial Park.
The report authored by Veronika Stewart, the City's Manager of Communications, Engagement and Social Development, traces some of the background to the planning for the rejuvenation of the park as well as to how it fits into the City's own strategic planning for recreation areas.
You can review the full report and the wide range of background material that comes with it from the Council Agenda Package here.
The report for Council comes with a community engagement process coming up this week to gain some feedback on what Mariner's Park could look like in the future.
As we outlined last week, Tourism Prince Rupert and the City of Prince Rupert are hosting two sessions this week at the Lax Kw'alaams Community Hall on Third Avenue East,
The Two public sessions take place Thursday evening from 6-9 PM, and again on Friday from 9AM to Noon hour.
