The District also noted of the recent funding from the Premier for Prince Rupert towards infrastructure, providing a few thoughts on the March 17th event, as well as towards some of the recent funding that Port Edward has received.

"Prince Rupert had very good news on March 17th when the Premier announced a $65 million grant towards their water distribution system. Port Edward had good news as well. In early March the Province gave us a grant of $669,000 towards infrastructure funding. We will be using this strategically and wisely."

As well, District officials noted of the Utility Bill payment process in place in the community.

The District also formally introduced their new Chief Administrator to the Community.

"Robert Grodecki is now officially working full time. He is looking forward to his new position & encourages residents to contact the office, if they have any concerns or questions, regarding all operational concerns. The Districts staff is here to support services to the residents of the District of Port Edward and implement the strategic priorities of the Council."

The District's elected officials meet twice in April with Council Sessions set for April 11th and 25th
