Skeena-Bulkey Valley MP helps spread message on CEBA from Prince Rupert and District Chamber

A local initiative from the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce got some support on Thursday from Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach, who took part in a street video to highlight the work of the chamber on the topic of the CEBA loan program.

The MP encouraging reagents of the northwest to sign on to an e petition calling for the extension of the loan forgiveness offer for those that have used the federal financial program.,


 

The MP had announced his sponsorship of the Chamber petition on Tuesday, with Mr. Bachrach noting of the concerns from local businesses that are struggling to repay the loans.



The Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce's Roman Brochu  launched the project earlier this month, noting of how an extension would benefit small business owners still trying to recover following the two years of COVID issues.



Mr. Bachrach has been one of the loudest voices in Parliament towards relief for the business community when it comes to CEBA. an area where he has seen some success in recent months.
