A return to the blog

With a weekend of cloud and rain to greet us (and remind us of fall's near approach), a return to more indoor pursuits now grabs our attention.

Labour Day marking the unofficial end to summer (the lingering days on the calendar until the move into fall,  but an accounting error is would seem) and with it, we return to our chronicles of items of note on the North Coast Review.

We'll ease back into the blog, offering up a review of the August 18th council session as our ice breaker, along with a few articles mined from that short deliberation of municipal governance.

We also take a look at the ongoing labour dispute between the province and its public school teachers, offering up the latest developments and some links to information that might prove helpful in trying to understand the impasse.

From there, we'll build on some of the items we put away for work on upon our return, some of it to focus on municipal issues, others on the larger moves when it comes to industrial development in the region and the impact on the communities of the North Coast.

And while we may have taken a break from our original content for much of August, we have been from time to time updating our individual category files.

A look at our right hand index may provide readers with some information on topics of interest to them that they may have missed during the lazy, somewhat hazy days of summer.

New content to the blog returns with today, items which of course we will add to our index of categories as we move ahead into September.
