A North Coast Community service that provides vital work in the region is hosting their Annual General Meeting this evening.
Tonight, the North Coast Transition Society provides an opportunity for residents of the city to learn more about their work and the services that they provide for those who are at risk.
Most likely known in the community for their work at Transition House, the local society also offers a range of programs for women and children survivors of violence. Their community focus addresses the issues of violence, homelessness, poverty addictions and social justice.
As part of tonight's event, Society members will also be outlining their need for motivated Community Individuals who have an interest in being a part of their diverse Board of Directors.
Those in attendance can take up membership at tonight's meeting and if interested in the Board of Director's positions can pick up a Director Candidate Profile Form as well.
For those that may not be able to make it to the meeting tonight, Candidate profile forms are also available by email at aancts@citywest.ca
Tonight's AGM takes place at the Crest Hotel Harbour starting at 7 PM.
You can learn more about the services and programs that the provide to the community from their website. Which provides a number of links on a range of topics of interest about the Society and its work.
