Eastbound traffic set to increase as Terrace opens popular Farmers Market this weekend

With the weather shifting from our winter patterns and the roads now less of a challenge the annual spring and summer migration to the Skeena Valley is underway, with last week's Terrace and District Trades Fair the first event to draw from around the northwest.

This weekend, one of Terrace's most popular summer time escapes opens for the season with the Skeena Valley Farmers Market set to welcome guests on Saturday from 9AM to 1PM

The Market takes place at Terrace's George Little Park and features a range of local produce and works of artisans, along with entertainment for families for the four hours each weekend.

If you're a Rupertite thinking that you're going to sneak away from town for a bit, prepare to be disappointed on any given weekend in the Spring and Summer you're likely to find many of your friends and neighbours browsing the stalls at the Downtown Terrace park.

Such is the draw of the event and the volume of traffic that makes its way east on weekend.

Terrace officials anticipate up to 70 vendors will take advantage of the opportunity to offer their goods through the summer.

You can get some more information on the market from the City of Terrace promotional page here.

The Skeena Valley Farmers Market has a Facebook page to update customers and visitors as to what's coming up.
