Marine Exercise puts Port, WCMRC to the test off west side of Prince Rupert

The area of the harbour off of Graham between BC Ferries
and the Pellet Terminal is the focus for today's exercise

The Port of Prince Rupert has advised mariners of exercises taking place today off the shoreline near the new Wolverine Marine Fuel Terminal,  with both Port staff and the workers at Western Canada Marine Response Corporation taking part in the morning's events.

The joint exercise will review a range of scenarios related to the operations for the newest terminal, soon to debut on the Prince Rupert waterfront that will be providing fuelling opportunities for visiting vessels at Port facilities.

WCMRC vessels from the Cow Bay Dock will
be participating in today's exercise

The exercise for the most part will be out of sight for most of the community, with the exception perhaps on Graham Avenue who have backyards overlooking the exercise location.

Follow the Port social media stream or that from WCMRC for any updates related to the exercise today.

More on the Wolverine Fuel Terminal can be explored from our archive page.
