Travellers aboard the BC Ferry Northern Expedition will have some additional dock time in Haida Gwaii on Monday as the vessel prepares for a hold in dock situation, that owing to some anticipated adverse weather for Hecate Strait which is under a Hurricane Force Wind Advisory for November 20th.
The Service Notice for the Vessel was issued this morning by the Ferry Corporation.
Due to forecasted adverse weather in the Hecate Strait, the following Northern Expedition sailings have been cancelled tomorrow, Monday, November 20:
10:00 am departing Skidegate 10:00 pm departing Prince Rupert

The Northern Expedition will operate on a revised schedule today, Sunday, November 19.
With the vessel currently set for an 8PM Departure this evening for Haida Gwaii

The Northern Expedition is expected to be back on schedule with the 8:30 am departure from Skidegate to Prince Rupert on Tuesday, November 21.
