Rains of Prince Rupert bear good news for Shames Mountain and Northwest skiers/boarders

While Prince Rupert residents broke out the rain gear these last few days as a quite damp marine system arrived.

Down the road towards Terrace and up the Shames Mountain Road, the precipitation on the North Coast is a welcome thing as it brings the local Ski Hill a bit closer to opening Day for 2023.

My Mountain Coop officials shared some photos this week of the increasing volumes of the stuff of dreams for Skiers, and the work that is going on to make ready for the season start.

This weekend Shames is inviting their Season pass holders up to the mountain for two days of Uphill Shredfest set for Saturday and Sunday with activities planned for both days.

Additional notes for UpHill Shredfest this weekend can be found here.

More on the preparations across the Northwest for the 2023-24 Ski and Board season can be explored through our archive page.
