Council Preview: Tuesday, November 14, 2023


The final opportunity for Public Comment on the 2024 Draft Budget is one of many themes for a busy night ahead  for the Prince Rupert City Council tonight.

Earlier in the evening they will host a 5 PM Special Regular Session, followed by a Session Closed to the public.

The Public Comment opportunities make for a part of main Agenda for the 7 PM session tonight  an evening which also features a range of reports and correspondences. 

Included among the topics, a look at the City's Outdoor Recreation and Parks Plan, revisions to the parking bylaws, potential new housing in Seal Cove, Water and Fire Service agreements with Port Edward,  some variance requests and a Temporary Use permit for the downtown area related to goats.

Monday's  Regular Council session starts at 7 PM and can be viewed by way of the Live Feed from the City Website.

The session is normally posted to the City's YouTube archive within 24 hours of the session concluding.

City of Prince Rupert Zoning Bylaw Amendment 3506, 2023 -- Council will be asked to replace Third Reading, amending the City of Prince Rupert Zoning bylaw amendment, to remove the parking requirement stipulation.   (see pages 264 - 266 of Agenda)

Council Round Table and Public Question Period -- Council members will have opportunity to raise items of interest or concern for consideration.
