The City of Prince Rupert has issued a call for community members to serve as part of their Climate Advisory Group that will work with the city's Climate Action and Adaptation Plan.
A social media message from Wednesday has the City seeking two community members and one youth member to serve as at large representatives to the group.
The workload would feature three Group meetings to participate in from December to May, and the city notes that expertise is not a requirement, just your perspectives on what we should protect and consider as a community when thinking about sustainability.

Applications are due by 4:00 pm on November 24th and can also be submitted via planning@princerupert.ca or by dropping off the completed form at the front desk of City Hall.
Short term strategies, enact anti idling bylaws by 2025. Phase out gas-powered landscape maintenance equipment for personal and commercial use by 2030.

We can’t even get it together to enforce current bylaws. The city can put whatever they want on paper. With no enforcement rules don’t mean much. The city fails to follow it’s own rules.
