Traffic Incident at Frederick and 11th Closed roads over noon hour


The Prince Rupert RCMP issued a rare advisory over their social media stream on Thursday morning advising motorists to avoid the 11th Avenue East and Frederick Street area, that owing to a motor vehicle incident.

In addition to the RCMP members on the scene, the call for service brought First Responders from the Prince Rupert Fire Hall and those of BC Ambulance.

The incident lasted into 1 PM before the RCMP issued the all clear and traffic resumed on the two streets, no further details have been released towards it.


Conditions through the day today have seen very heavy rain in the region, particularly during the period of time that the east side incident has taken place.
