Storm watching with the Wheelhouse ... if it pours, they could be pouring out some discounts!

Patrons of Prince Ruperts Wheelhouse Brewing Company will be hoping for a liquid El Niño these next three months, as the Waterfront Beverage room launches a weather based promotion that should turn all of their customers into amateur meteorologists.

The promotion began on November 24th and will run through to February 29th of next year with the price of the Wheelhouse's Flagship Pale Ale set for a pricing correction depending on the volume of rain that falls into the gauge affixed to the outside of the Historic CN Property that they call home.

Every Friday morning Wheelhouse staff will empty and restart the gauge, for the beer connoisseurs inside the scale of pricing will look as follows:

Any time before Thursday closing that the weekly precipitation exceeds 60 mm, we'll drop the price by 50 cents per 16oz pint.

If the rain exceeds 100 mm, the price drops $1 per 16oz pint.

And, if the rain hits the third marker at the top of the wheel (you may have to get here by boat), we'll lower the price by $2 per 16oz pint.

The location adjacent to Rotary Waterfront Park makes for a pretty decent vantage point for some local storm watching and if Mother Nature (and El Niño) cooperate, you may just get some savings from your sipping.
