Environment Canada makes it official ... tis going to be Wet, with RAINFALL WARNING issued for Prince Rupert and North Coast

As we noted yesterday, Wednesday was the last good day for a dry walk about around the city, with the Pacific weather system we advised of having now made it's way ashore.

This morning Environment Canada made it all Official, with a RAINFALL WARNING issued at just before 11 AM advising of a potential for up to 150 mm of rain by Saturday

With that volume of rain anticipated, should you host a drain basin adjacent to your property around town, you may want to give the city's Operation Department a hand by ensuring that the leaves and other debris of the fall is Clear from those drain basins before they get to overflowing.

The Weather Maker is also providing for some Warnings for Mariners, with a GALE WARNING now in effect for Hecate Strait.

Follow Environment Canada website for updates on the weather as the next few days move forward.

As well follow Drive BC when it comes to any road conditions for points east of the Port Edward turnoff.
