Equipment purchases for Operations Department up for Loan Approval tonight

on the purchase list for Civic Operations  

Prince Rupert City Council will be asked tonight to approve the authority for the city borrow just over 1.6 million dollars towards a number of equipment purchases for the Operations Department.

A report for council for tonight's session notes that the list of equipment to be purchased would include a Gravel Truck, A Garbage Truck, a Dozer and an Excavator.

The money for the purchase would be received from the Municipal Finance Authority.

In order for the City to move forward with the purchases, a resolution from Council giving staff authorization is required.
